Water Treatment Plant No. 3
Description
Work consisted of the construction of a well supply pipeline, poured-in-place concrete reaction basin with an approximate 60,000 gallon capacity, provision and installation of two 2,500 GPM capacity induced draft aerators, construction of a poured-in-place concrete membrane tank system, provision and installation of five filtrate pumps, two backwash transfer pumps and a reaction basin drain pump, provision and installation of all interconnecting piping and valves, provision and installation of a 2,700 gallon capacity hot water tank complete with hot water heat exchanger, circulating pump, hot water transfer pump etc., provision and installation and connection of a membrane filtration system control system, provision and installation of a blower system for backwash of the membranes, provision and installation of a compressed air system, construction of a membrane building, a two-compartment poured-in-place concrete clearwall of approximately 100,000 gallon capacity, installation of an HVAC system, modifications to existing SCADA system, installation of a complete electrical power system including switchgear, installation of chemical feed system and all related appurtenances to the scope of work listed above.

Aquatic Habitat Restoration, South Area Shoreline Restoration
Description
Consisted of restoring eroded shorelines at Arrowhead Lake, Bull Frog Lake, Flatfoot Lake, Lake Ida, Little Red Schoolhouse Pond, Maple Lake, Papoose Lake and Tampier Lake. Eroded shorelines were restored via a combination of treatments on site specific basis. In general, soft, vegetative treatments have been combined with the construction of irregular outcropping stone walls. The soft, vegetative treatment involved re-grading the shoreline, installation of coconut fiber rolls to dissipate the energy created by wave action, and stabilization of the shoreline with emergent plantings and seeding. Stone riprap was also utilized to stabilize the shorelines.
